ThinkUp 1.0.4 Release with New Charts and Web-based Upgrader

A new release of ThinkUp, version 1.0.4, is now available for download. Download it now and upgrade your installation.

In addition to containing over a dozen bugfixes, version 1.0.4 replaces ThinkUp’s flat, image-based charts with interactive JavaScript charts which display information more clearly and offer more details when you roll over bars, lines, and pie chart slices. See the new charts in action on my ThinkUp installation’s dashboard.

Version 1.0.4 also contains a brand new web-based upgrader. In other words, this could be your last manual ThinkUp upgrade where you have to FTP files to and fro. From here on in, ThinkUp is able to upgrade itself to its latest version at the click of a button.

Finally, we’re thrilled to announce ThinkUp’s beta release channel. As of version 1.0.4, power users, brave testers, and developers can preview and test-drive new features without waiting for the next stable release or wrangling with git. To opt into beta upgrades, in Settings > Application, check off “Enable beta upgrades.”

Check out version 1.0.4’s complete changelog.

This version 1.0.4 release contains 23 commits by 7 authors (1 first-timer!) and a total of 8,928 passing tests. It also includes 42,514 words of application documentation. Here’s the version diff on GitHub.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this release, especially Mark W, Christian, Andy, Sutherland, and Anil. Congratulations to Brian for getting his first patch accepted into ThinkUp.

As always, get in touch on the ThinkUp community mailing list if you have any trouble upgrading to version 1.0.4.
